The hidden gem of kids clothing right on your doorstep!
From that perfect party dress to the waistcoat worn at a summer wedding I bet everyone can remember an item of clothing that meant something to them. Mine was a blue cloth kits dress my mum made for me with zoo animals on. I can picture myself sitting in the sun just staring at the fabric and imagining what each of the little animals would be like. Memories like that are priceless for children and although, as parents we all make use of mass-produced clothing for convenience (and price) nothing beats a hand made item as something truly special.
“Memories like that are priceless for children”
If you aren’t confident making our own creation we’ve found the perfect person, Robyn Jones, a local Mummie and small business owner with both the skills and the vision to make your child’s next special outfit.
Robyn lives with her husband and youngest daughter Scarlett. Her older daughter, Beth, has special needs and lives in supported living. Robyn runs the fabulous Scarlett and B (named after her daughters), a beautiful and original children’s clothing business alongside her busy job as a Paediatric nurse.
Selling through her popular Etsy store, Facebook page and at local craft events, Scarlett and B specialise in everyday and party wear for boys and girls, Robyn describes her style as retro and fun. She personally sources the most beautiful and unique fabrics from both local and international suppliers.

But what makes Robyn a true gem is the fact she understands the need for flexibility and that not all children like the same things. In addition Scarlett and B also offer a bespoke service for children with disabilities who may need slightly adapted clothing.
“A true gem”
Robyn’s girls were her inspiration behind setting up her children’s clothing business, She learnt to sew when she was pregnant with Scarlett and soon grew to love making little things for her. This quickly became a passion and she wanted to extend her clothes out to other families with little ones.
This year will see some unique flower girl dresses made to order, the launch of “Scarlett & B” parties where Robyn brings along sample clothes, tons of fabrics and gives mums the chance to choose what fabric(s) their item will be made in! With plans to open a shop and sewing classes on the horizon there’s no doubt for Robyn and her business the future is bright.
